. You can export users, groups, file shares and data along with permissions into files and import those on the target side at a later time.
Automatic and Selective Migration of User and Group Accounts
During the migration of NTFS permissions or file share permissions, CopyRight2 automatically detects if any referenced user or group accounts are non-existent on the target computer or domain.
Depending on the selected settings, it will then automatically migrate the missing accounts or prompt the user to decide how to appropriately treat those accounts. In case you want to separate the account from the resource migration, you can selectively migrate specific user and/or group accounts
by defining a "User and Group Migration" job.
This applies to the migration of server or NAS local accounts, like local users and groups and to migrations taking place between Active Directory domains.
Additionally you can transition from an AGLP
(User Account -> Global Group -> Server Local Group -> Permission) to an AGDLP
(User Account -> Global Group -> Domain Local Group -> Permission) role-based access control (RBAC
) model by simply activating an option in your copy job settings. This allows you to get rid of server or NAS local groups during the migration to centrally administrate resource access in the future.
