Configuration changes

 

  • Integrated wizard that allows a dialog-based assignment of configuration changes.

  • Windows-NT integrated security. Any described configuration 
    changes will be executed in a secure way, even if the user logging 
    on does not posses administrative rights. On Windows-NT clients the service running on the machine itself has the neccessary rights to 
    make any changes.
     

  • Prevent running certain programs or opening certain file types. Extending the Windows-NT builtin functionality that uses a list of allowed applications, you can define a list of denied applications and file types.

  • Use the realtime recorder to capture changes made to the registry database or filesystem of a remote computer.

  • Automatic Termination of unwanted application
    - Search by process-name (e.g. "Cmd.Exe")
    - Search by window title
    - Search by a partial window title (e.g. ".JPG", ".GIF" or ".MPG")
     

  • Resource-management for printer- and fileshares

  • Assign printer settings like page format, orientation, number of copies, ...
     

  • Use file and printer objects published to the ActiveDirectory. You can either assign them directly or alternatively reference to objects having predefined names, existing within the container the user object of the user logging in resides in.

  • Management of shortcuts residing on the desktop,  the startmenu or the quick launch bar

    On Windows-NT users can install software even if they do not posess administrative rights. Software executed will make use of the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key of the user, logged in.
